The Week of Peat' arrives in a new presentation as part of a trio of malts or 'stories' referencing the human tales of key distillery figures. Labelled as 'Story No.2' and reportedly peated to 30ppm; this bottling celebrates re-commencement of peated runs in Balvenie's own maltings. The former distillery manager; Ian Millar trialled drying barley with peat for the first time after a week’s gap in the distillery’s production schedule back in 2002 (hence the name).
